"Hunger for Connection" groups are designed to help you understand your eating disorder from a new and more helpful perspective. You will learn to identify, understand, and intervene in the "food thoughts," the shame, and other eating and thinking patterns that so often accompany an eating disorder. You will learn how to access your own inner sources of strength and make real, supportive connections with others. And you will learn to think with your mind, rather than your body.
The group atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and there is a strong sense of camaraderie. Groups meet once/week for six weeks and are 90 minutes long. Depending on your policy, your insurance may cover all or part of the cost. People interested in ongoing groups or individual meetings will be given special priority in future sessions.
New groups are forming now, and you are invited to call or write and reserve your space!
Looking forward to hearing from you! Dr. Alitta Kullman, PhD.
